Tola

History

Azienda Vitivinicola Tola was founded in 1992 by Girolamo Tola, known as 'Mimmo', who inherited a love of vines from his father Francesco and trained through six years of enology study at Marsala.

The estate lies in the Palermo hinterland near Grisi, Partinico and Alcamo, with vineyards at around 400 metres in the Bosco Falconeria and Grassuri Airoldi districts, among western Sicily's most prized terroirs.

Farmed organically to Mimmo's belief that 'wine is made in the vineyard', the estate grows Nero d'Avola, Syrah, Catarratto, Grillo, Chardonnay, Inzolia and Pinot Nero.
