History
Nino Bevilacqua, a Palermo engineer, began buying and clearing abandoned plots at Randazzo in 2008, restoring the old terraces of Contrada Bocca d'Orzo.
Riccardo Cotarella helped plan and build the estate, which grew to about 36 hectares on Etna's north-west slope.
The Bevilacqua family runs the estate, with Nerello Mascalese as the thread through the range.
