The Barbera family have farmed at Menfi since 1923; in 1963 Renzo Barbera senior gathered the scattered plots into the single Tenuta Stoccatello.

Now led by Renzo Barbera, it has been organic since 2012 and makes a Grillo, the Animi, and a Nero d'Avola, the Avvoca, about 16,000 bottles.
