History
The Sala family has grown vines beside the Gorghi Tondi lakes near Mazara del Vallo for four generations; in 2000 Michele Sala, with his wife Doretta and daughters Annamaria and Clara, began bottling under the estate name.
Now led by Annamaria and Clara Sala, the 130-hectare organic estate works almost entirely native grapes, Grillo, Zibibbo, Nero d'Avola, Catarratto, Frappato and Nerello Mascalese.
