History
Tenuta Gatti traces its roots to 1825, when Francesco Gatti founded the estate in the Messina countryside within what later became the Mamertino di Milazzo DOC zone, recognized in 2004.
Today the property is run by Nicolas Gatti Russo, who arrived from Argentina to take over the family business and converted the estate to organic farming, and his son Franco, producing Mamertino wines built on the Nero d'Avola-Nocera blend.
