The vineyards belonged to Giuseppe's grandparents, who sold wine and oil in bulk.

When many on Etna sold their vineyards, Giuseppe (an ex-IT worker) and Valeria kept theirs for their emotional value.

They started working the vines in 2009 following the grandfather's teaching, with the first vintage in 2010, making natural wine.
