History
Rudinì is a winery at Pachino, on the southeastern tip of Sicily long regarded as the cradle of Nero d'Avola, whose grapes come from a triangle of vineyards between Pachino, Noto, Rosolini and Ispica.
Wine growing here was developed in the 19th century by the family of the Marquis of Rudinì, numbered among the founders of Pachino, from whom the estate takes its name.
Today Giuseppe Di Pietro and his wife Stefanie carry the project on with meticulous, nature-led farming, drawing on the area's arid climate and intense light to express Nero d'Avola at its best alongside other varieties grown locally.
