History

Cesare Fulvio, a former commercial airline pilot, and Federica Turillo, a former archery instructor, both natives of Catania, left their previous careers in 2005 to settle upslope from Randazzo and restore a small abandoned Etna farm.

They renovated the property's ancient palmento, treading Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio by foot in lava-stone vats for open-air fermentation before aging in old tonneaux; in 2020 the estate left the Etna DOC consortium and now bottles its wines as table wine.
