History
Bewitched by the Val di Noto in the late 1990s, the Tuscan entrepreneur Antonio Moretti Cuseri (of Sette Ponti) founded Feudo Maccari in 2000 in the district long called Feudo Maccari.
He assembled a ~250-hectare property from more than fifty landowners in the original Nero d'Avola homeland near Avola.
The barrique-aged Saia (100% Nero d'Avola) is the estate's flagship.
