History

Etnella was founded in 2008 by Davide Bentivegna on the eastern and north-eastern flanks of Etna, one of the leading voices in the return to natural viticulture on the volcano.

Its roughly 9 hectares of vines are scattered across 15 contrade between 450 metres at La Presa (Mascali) and nearly 1,000 metres at Sciarone and Nave above Randazzo, with terraced old alberello and pre-phylloxera plants.

The wines are built on the Etna natives Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio, farmed and vinified naturally.
