History
One of the oldest wine estates on the island of Salina, the business was founded in the early twentieth century by Antonino Divola; after his death in 1964 his daughters Grazia and Nunzia carried it on, and Nunzia's husband Raffaele D'Amico rebuilt the winery at Leni in 1972, registering the vineyards in the Malvasia delle Lipari DOC.
Salvatore D'Amico took over the estate around 1972 and, drawing on his grandfather's old manuscripts and his parents' experience, built the family's Malvasia passito production, later converting the small Leni vineyards to certified organic farming.
