Marilena Barbera's grandfather hand-planted the vineyard in the 1920s at the Tenuta Belicello, a wedding gift.

The family has grown grapes for three generations on the Menfi coast.

Marilena, a former international lawyer, returned to run the estate and put Menfi on the map with organic, terroir-driven wines.
