History

The Vasari family has farmed the hills above Santa Lucia del Mela, in the historic heart of the Mamertino zone, for seven generations, on land the family describes as having been under vine for over 400 years.

Vasari spent more than 40 years working to revive the Mamertino name commercially, registering it as a trademark before the Mamertino di Milazzo DOC was officially recognized in 2004, and the estate has been certified organic since 1990.
