Gino Bardino, a former banker, left his office job to make wine, building a modest cellar and planting vineyards outside Alghero.

The Podere Vigne Rada in the Monte Pedrosu area covers about 17 hectares of lean, rocky soil.

It grows only varieties traditional to the area: Vermentino, Cagnulari and Cannonau.
