History
Giovanni Battista Columbu, a teacher from the Barbagia, settled at Bosa in the late 1950s and began the cult of Malvasia di Bosa.
He bought the Fraus vineyard at Magomadas in 1970 and inherited Campeda at Bosa in 1980, and bottled the first Malvasia di Bosa Riserva in 1992.
Featured in the film Mondovino, the estate is the leading maker of Malvasia di Bosa; since his death in 2012 his son Gian Michele runs it.
