History

Cantine Animas was founded in 2018 at Berchiddeddu, a hamlet of Olbia in Gallura, though the family's roots in the land reach back to the 1970s when grandfather Giuseppino Mazzone planted the first vineyard.

Today the estate is run by the Mazzone family across 13 hectares of granite-soiled vineyards, with the marked day-night temperature swings of the Juanne Chijina site shaping their flagship Vermentino.

The house style favours patience - long ageing in steel and especially in bottle - to let the Gallura terroir show fully in the glass.
