History
The Arborea plain was settled in the 20th-century bonifiche by Romagnol and Veneto families, who brought Sangiovese and Trebbiano; the Cantina di Marrubiu, of the Isola dei 4 Mori cooperative, carries on their wine.
It is the keeper of the unusual Arborea DOC, a Sardinian Sangiovese and Trebbiano recognized in 1987.
