History

Twenty-two growers of Monti founded the Cantina del Vermentino in 1956, one of the oldest cooperatives of Sardinia, in the heart of the Gallura.

Its roughly three hundred and fifty members work over six hundred hectares, making the Vermentino di Gallura in many forms, best known for Funtanaliras, Arakena and Aghiloja.
