History
Founded in 1953 as the Cantina della Vernaccia, this Oristano cooperative has long been the reference point for Vernaccia di Oristano, one of Sardegna's oldest native grape traditions, and recently renamed itself Cantina del Rimedio after its historic seat near the sanctuary of the Madonna del Rimedio in Donigala Fenogheddu.
Alongside its historic Vernaccia, the cooperative has expanded into other native varieties such as Nieddera as well as Vermentino, Cannonau and Monica, and was named Italy's winery of the year at Vinitaly 2025.
