History

Vinicola Mediterranea was founded in 1997 by Giuseppe Marangio and Vito Epifani in San Pietro Vernotico, both already experienced in the local wine trade but launching their own venture for the first time.

The winery began by producing bulk wine sold across Italy, then started estate bottling in 2000, since expanding into a range of Negroamaro and other Salento varietals exported internationally.
