History
The estate was founded in 1847 by the Dukes de la Rochefoucauld, who built one of Puglia's grandest cellars at Cerignola.
A private railway carried the wines in bulk to France as blending wine for the best French cuvees.
In the 1930s the Italian-Belgian Cirillo Farrusi family took over and began bottling them as noble wines.
