History

The Calo family have grown vines in the Salento for over two centuries; Mino Calo made the first bottle of the rosato Rosa del Golfo in 1963 at Alezio.

Named for the Gulf of Gallipoli, it is one of Italy's iconic rosati, from Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera.
