Mariangela Plantamura's grandfather first planted the land in 1946, carrying Primitivo by the backpack-load.

The family started bottling in 2002, already certified organic, specializing in Primitivo di Gioia del Colle.

Mariangela and her husband Vincenzo run the estate today with their two daughters.
