History

D'Araprì was founded in 1979 in San Severo by three friends, Girolamo d'Amico, Louis Rapini and Ulrico Priore, whose surnames combine to form the estate's name; united by a shared passion for wine, they set out to make Metodo Classico sparkling wine in a part of Puglia with no tradition of it.

The estate became one of the few wineries in southern Italy dedicated exclusively to Metodo Classico spumante, pioneering the use of the native Bombino Bianco grape for sparkling wine and building a decades-long reputation as a reference producer for San Severo DOC.
