History
Claudio Quarta, born in Lecce in 1955, was a biologist and biotech entrepreneur before leaving that career in 2005 to become a winemaker, building a small group of estates rooted in his native Salento.
His daughter Alessandra joined the business in 2012, the same year the Moros winery in Guagnano was founded to focus on Salice Salentino Riserva, alongside the Tenute Eméra estate near the Ionian coast.
