History
On 18 September 1932 a group of Locorotondo growers formed a cooperative — the first in Puglia — and so the Cantina del Locorotondo was born, in the trulli country of the Valle d'Itria.
The co-op built the reputation of the local white grapes, Verdeca and Bianco d'Alessano, winning the Locorotondo denomination its DOC in 1969 and carrying the 'Bianco Locorotondo' to tables around the world.
