The house began in 1870 when Tommaso Apollonio married into a landowning family and built the first cellar.

Grandson Marcello expanded the estate; in 1975 Salvatore Apollonio started bottling under the family's own label, opening exports.

The fourth generation, Marcello and Massimiliano Apollonio, runs the winery today.
