History

The Vallone family have owned their Salento estate since 1934.

Franco Vallone steered the family toward professional, entrepreneurial farming before his early death in 1979; sisters Vittoria and Maria Teresa, with Francesco, now run the estate.

The Graticciaia, a 100% Negroamaro from near-centenary alberello vines at San Pancrazio, was shaped in the 1980s by oenologist Severino Garofano into a modern Puglian classic.
