History
Vigne Marina Coppi was founded in 2003 by Francesco Bellocchio at Castellania, the Colli Tortonesi village that was the birthplace of the cycling champion Fausto Coppi, Bellocchio's grandfather; the estate is named for his mother, Marina Coppi.
On the hills around Castellania the estate works the native Timorasso, the white grape that has revived the Colli Tortonesi, making a well-regarded Derthona alongside Barbera and other local varieties.
