Tenuta La Marchesa

History

Tenuta La Marchesa, at Novi Ligure in the Gavi hills, has been known as 'La Marchesa' since the eighteenth century, when it was one of the great estates of the Genoese aristocracy; its 16th-century villa is a listed historic house of the ADSI.

Owned by the Giulini family, the seventy-six-hectare estate of vines, woods and a private lake has fifty-eight hectares under Gavi, making around three thousand two hundred hectolitres of wine — the great majority white Cortese — alongside a little Monferrato red.
