History

The Sobrero story began in 1940 with grandfather Francesco, who grew and sold grapes until wine production started in the 1960s under Settimo and Pier Franco, with the first Barolo in 1964.

Flavio Sobrero joined in 2000 and converted the estate to organics in 2020; the family owns crus including Villero, Pernanno and Ornato.
