History
The Costamagna family's wine history at La Morra is documented from 15 May 1841, when Luigi Costamagna was granted a licence to sell his wine at retail. The family later kept its prized Rocche dell'Annunziata vineyards even as other plots were sold in the 1930s.
At the end of the 1960s Luigi's descendant Claudia Ferraresi — a painter and cultural organiser — took over with her husband Giorgio Locatelli, betting on high-quality Barolo.
The estate's heart remains the Rocche dell'Annunziata cru, which it has cultivated for over two centuries.
