History

Poderi Cellario is a third-generation family estate at Carru, on the western edge of the Langhe, run by Fausto and Cinzia Cellario with the cellar and shop in the village and vineyards mainly at Farigliano and Dogliani.

About twenty years ago the family turned fully to natural winemaking - a response to Cinzia's intolerance to sulphites - working organically with only native Piedmontese grapes and wild-yeast fermentations, unfiltered and unclarified.

The range runs across Dolcetto (including Dogliani), Barbera, Nebbiolo, Freisa and Favorita, and the estate has been a leader in recovering the near-lost Nascetta white.
