History
The Pelissero family grew and sold grapes from the early 20th century, starting with Giovanni Pelissero. In 1960 Luigi Pelissero bottled the family's first estate wine, from the Vanotu vineyard.
Luigi's son Giorgio, an oenologist, joined full time and took over with the 1989 vintage, beginning a new era of quality.
The estate now farms 42 hectares, mostly Nebbiolo, at Treiso, and makes around 250,000 bottles, led by the Barbaresco crus Vanotu and Tulin.
