History
The Marengo family has made wine at La Morra since the estate was founded in 1899, now across four generations. Mario Marengo devoted himself to the small estate, and his son Marco, the current owner, gave it a more modern, internationally minded direction.
The family owns just 6 hectares, but among them are about 1.2 hectares of the celebrated Brunate cru and a hectare of Bricco delle Viole — vineyards held for five generations; the first Barolo Brunate was bottled in 1974.
Marco works with his wife Jenny and, more recently, his son Stefano, born in 1996.
