History

Il Chiosso was founded in 2007 when Marco Arlunno, an oenology graduate with vineyards in Gattinara, joined forces with Carlo Cambieri, an engineer and former Ghemme grower.

The name Chiosso refers to a vineyard enclosed by a stone wall.

The estate makes Gattinara and Ghemme from Nebbiolo on either side of the Sesia, plus Colline Novaresi and Coste della Sesia bottlings.
