History

The Rovero family's winegrowing goes back to the late 1800s - a small family chapel was built in 1880 - on the hills between the Monferrato and the Langhe, south of Asti.

Brothers Franco, Claudio and Michelino, now with Michelino's son Enrico, farm 25 hectares (about 20 under vine) and have made organic wines certified by ICEA since 1987.

Barbera is the leading grape, worked into everything from fresh, fruity styles to barrel-aged bottlings, and the estate also runs a distillery producing well-regarded grappe around its courtyard of old farm buildings.
