History
Franco Martinetti began making wine in 1974, coming to it from a career in advertising and a lifelong passion for food and wine.
He is an unusual figure - a negociant 'evoluto' who owns no vineyards but buys grapes from hand-picked growers farming to his exacting instructions, then controls every stage from pruning and harvest through vinification and ageing to the design of his labels.
Based near Turin, his range spans Monferrato Rosso 'Sul Bric', Barbera d'Asti Superiore 'Montruc', the Gavi 'Minaia' and Tortonese wines like the Timorasso 'Martin' - a grape he helped bring back - always in a spirit of harmony and elegance.
