History
Wine has been made at the Castello di Castellengo, near Cossato in the Alto Piemonte, since 1682. From 1999 Alessandro and Magda set about recovering the castle's ancient vineyards, scattered in small parcels across the surrounding hills — the 'hundred vines' that gave the estate its name, Centovigne.
On soils of marine sands, gravels, marls and kaolinitic clays the estate grows chiefly Nebbiolo and Erbaluce, ageing its wines in the manor's old cellars and bottling under the Coste della Sesia denomination of the Alto Piemonte.
