History

Castello di Tagliolo is a historic estate set around the medieval castle of Tagliolo Monferrato, in the Ovadese hills of the Alto Monferrato in the province of Alessandria, long held by the Pinelli Gentile family.

Its vineyards on these hills between Piedmont and Liguria yield the local classics - the white Cortese and the red Dolcetto d'Ovada.

The wines carry the Cortese dell'Alto Monferrato and Dolcetto di Ovada denominations alongside the broader Monferrato DOC.
