History

Cascina Castlet has belonged to the Borio family for generations; Mariuccia Borio took it over from her father in 1970 and championed the local grapes.

From about thirty-one hectares she makes the Barbera d'Asti, such as Passum and Litina, and rescued the native Uvalino.
