History
The estate takes its name from a farmhouse destroyed by fire, bought in 1880 by Giovanni Balbo; his descendant Carlo Balbo bottled the first wines at the turn of the new millennium.
In 2016 the Abbona family, owners of Marchesi di Barolo, acquired Cascina Bruciata and kept it as a small family winery focused on Rio Sordo.
