History
The Cascina Adelaide property, whose oldest part dates to the 18th century, is named for a former owner, Adelaide, of Prussian origin. Amabile Drocco bought it in 1999, having left his mechanical business to his sons, and founded the winery in 2000 to fulfil a lifelong dream.
The estate tends about 12 hectares, 10 of them Nebbiolo for Barolo, spread across eight historic crus including Cannubi and Preda.
In 2021 Amabile's granddaughter Chiara Drocco, then 29, took over the running of the estate.
