History

Cantina Bianchi was founded at Sizzano, in the Colline Novaresi of Alto Piemonte, around 1785 by Giuseppe Primo Bianchi, on not quite two hectares of vine. Under his nephew Pietro the estate grew, buying the best plots from the Counts Tornielli, and by the 1980s had added vineyards at Ghemme and Gattinara.

Now in its sixth generation under Eva and Paolo Tealdi Bianchi, with Paolo Cominoli as cellar master, it farms some fifteen hectares of the local Nebbiolo, Vespolina, Uva Rara and Barbera, bottling the Sizzano and Colline Novaresi of the Novara hills.
