History
Cabutto's Tenuta La Volta was founded in 1920, when Domenico Cabutto bought the Volta farmhouse — beside the medieval Castello della Volta — from the Mirafiore family, heirs of King Vittorio Emanuele II.
One of the historic Barolo producers, the estate celebrated its centenary in 2020 and has long focused resolutely on Barolo.
Its cellar sits at Vergne, the highest of Barolo's hamlets, surrounded by over 20 hectares of Nebbiolo including the Bricco delle Viole and La Volta vineyards.
