History

Ca' Rome' was founded in 1980 by Romano Marengo, who after thirty years working in wine realised his dream of his own winery, sharing it with his wife Olimpia and children Giuseppe (Pino), Paola and Maria.

The estate draws on historic family vineyards in both Barbaresco — Rio Sordo and the Maria di Brün cru — and Serralunga d'Alba, where the Cerretta and Rapet plots were inherited from Romano's grandmother Maria di Brün.

His son Giuseppe continues the traditional, quality-focused approach across Barbaresco and Barolo.
