History

The La Meirana estate at Gavi is recorded in a rental contract of 972 AD in the Genoa State Archives.

Bruno Broglia bought it in 1972 and released his first vintage in 1974, the year Gavi gained DOC; in the early 1980s he pioneered stainless-steel vinification for Gavi.

The flagship 'Bruno Broglia' Gavi di Gavi, from 1950s vines, honours the founder; the third generation, Roberto and Filippo, run the estate today.
