History

The Brezza family has owned and worked its Barolo vineyards since 1885, when Giacomo Brezza bought the estate's first plots. Giacomo, with his father Antonio, produced the family's first bottle in 1910.

Now in its fourth generation, Brezza Giacomo e Figli farms around 16.5 hectares of vineyard — 12.5 within Barolo, including parcels in the celebrated crus of Cannubi, Sarmassa and Castellero — from a cellar close to the centre of the village.

The estate makes traditional Barolo from these historic vineyards, exporting the majority of its production.
