History
Casa Vinicola Bersano was founded in 1907 in Nizza Monferrato by Giuseppe Bersano, a butcher with a passion for wine. In 1935 his son Arturo, a lawyer by training and vigneron by conviction, took control of what had been a family-scale operation and expanded it under the motto 'if you want to drink well, buy yourself a vineyard.'
Starting from Barbera d'Asti vineyards around its Nizza Monferrato ageing cellar, the house progressively acquired holdings in Barolo and Barbaresco and secured exclusive contracts for vineyards in Gavi, growing into a estate of over 230 hectares between Monferrato and the Langhe.
