The elder Angelo D'Uva began cultivating Tintilia at Larino in the 1940s, carrying a vine cutting and his grandfather's teachings by train.

His son Sebastiano turned it into a modern estate in the 1970s.

The present Angelo D'Uva, who took the founder's name, revived and replanted Tintilia, an indigenous Molise variety that had nearly vanished.
